The Train Party

This year we decided to have Owen's birthday party in Horseheads.  It was much easier on our families to have the party there and not make them travel...and there's a train there too.  Owen and his cousin Alex are both gaga for trains and their birthdays are very close together so we decided to have a combined party.  The boys seemed to agree/not care about this plan.

We pitched a tent, got some pizzas ordered and started the party.

Dennis and Owen started things off by driving the train.  Here he's saying" All Aboard"

Everyone went around a few times and had a great ride.  The kids got the little train hats as their favors, which seemed to be a hit.

Then it was time to eat but we couldn't get the boys off the train

Then they decided to be the train inspectors.  It was ok, I just fed Owen his pizza on the non-moving train car.

Grandms made the boys each their own train cake.  Owen didn't mind sticking his fingers right in them

Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and no kids even cried...until it was time for the train to go bye bye

And he sat on it...parked in the garage, until I had to pry him away.
I'm glad he had a good time though.  Thanks everyone for coming!
