We ended up having about 30 people at the party, which was great. Luckily the rain held off and there was some outdoor space to use as well.
We had pizza, salads, and of course cake and ice cream. This is the cake I made for Owen. I must say I was impressed with myself for how well it turned out.

Decorations consisted of some simple balloons and a banner with all of Owen's "month pictures." Everyone had fun seeing how much he's changed in a year.
We opened some gifts. This boy sure is loved! (loved/spoiled) He cleaned up at this party!
Cake time! He wasn't so sure at first. He actually was more interested in the donut ears than the cake itself.
Once he got going there was no stopping him. That cake was toast. It was so fun to watch him dig in. The highchair needed a good hosedown anyway.
After a little clean up it was time to play with some of the new presents.
Molly wasn't so sure about some of them.Eventually, everyone had to leave and go back home. Some travelled quite a distance for the party, which was truly appreciated. We all had such a great time, and I'm sure Owen really loved his party.
It's unbelievable that he is a year old now. I know it sounds very cliche, but that first year flew by so fast I can't even believe it. He has been such a great addition to our lives and has changed it in ways I never would have imagined.
Oh this time is still such a blur
What a difference a year makes. He still makes my heart melt every day!
