It is time for an "interactive" post.
Teresa and I are trying to decide on a vacation spot from June 27th-July3rd. We would like to open this up to our readers and have you offer suggestions on where we should spend this week. We have come up with some ideas, but feel there are places we can visit that we may not be thinking of.
So if you have a destination that you have visited or think we should visit, leave it in the comments section of this post.

Hey Dennis...
Not sure what your definition of vacation is, but Gretchen and I had a great time camping near Blue Mountain Lake in the Adirondacks last June.
Camping anyone??
My suggestion would be to go up to Maine and stay at a Bed and Breakfast on the water. Sam and I did that a couple years a go and it was SO much fun and relaxing! If you consider it I can dig up the info on the bed and breakfast we stayed at, if that is where you would want to stay if you go! Jenn
The Finger Lakes. It is such an easy trip from Buffalo. We usually stay at Seneca Springs Inn on Seneca Lake. You can go kayaking on the lake, boating, swimming, pick fresh fruit, take a trip to Cornell and eat at some great restaurants either on the lake or in Ithaca.

Outer banks- try Manteo, Tranquil House Inn for an upscale retreat
Virginia Beach- upgrade from our first visit!!!
Washington, DC- maybe a better weekend trip but you could take in a cheap nationals game.
Boston, MA- whale watch, shop, brew pubs
Napa Valley- WINE.
Lake Winnepesaukee and white mountains in NH. Rent a cottage on the lake- like the finger lakes but better. hike, bike, swim, boat.
Have fun!!! (we just booked a christmas-time trip to Playa del carmen, mexico!!!)

There is a great bed & breakfast at 810 Center St. Horseheads. Close to the wineries, boat rides on Seneca Lake, waterfalls in Ithaca parks and also carousel rides and Jasper at ELdridge Lake. The bed & breakfast also includes lunches and dinners or there are many excellent resturants to choose from. The pool will be open and exotic drinks will be served on the deck.
how about a week at fenway park so you can watch a real baseball team.
I'd second the suggestion for the Outer Banks. A week there is bliss. I was recently in Savannah, GA, which was a really fun town and so pretty. What about the thousand islands? That might be more economical and very outdoorsy. Cooler weatherwise too.

yellowstone!!
How about San Francisco? We had a great time there.Theater, great restaurants, Fisherman's Wharf, Giardelli outlet, cable cars, aquarium and the Pacific Coast Highway is a great drive along the ocean. Golden Gate Bridge, ehhh. Love you both, Mom
Also, the boat trip to Alcatraz was awesome.
Totally go to Montreal and Quebec City -- it's beautiful up there and there's so much you can explore by walking around. Great bars, shopping (check out the underground city), parks, and GREAT food! Also, the bed and breakfasts up there are very reasonable. I recommend something along (or off of) St. Catherine's St.
WELL I see 12 comments------have any of them changed your minds where to go? Let us hear where you want to vacation?
