As most of you know, we have been starting to house hunt. We thought we had found the perfect house a few weeks ago, but after the home inspection we were not feeling as warm and fuzzy about the house. Since then we have found a new house. The house is located in the village of Kenmore, NY. Kenmore is a northern suburb of Buffalo and is similar to the 'Heads. Our offer has been accepted and a successful home inspection has been preformed. All that is left...getting money from the bank. We are looking to close on the house in early June, therefore we should be all moved in by mid-July. The house is in move-in condition, however, we will be do some painting and minor touching up. So now that we are buying a house in WNY, it is safe to say we are staying in Buffalo for a while.The house is a Colonial style home with 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, deck, above ground pool, one car detached garage, a 3rd floor which has been redone, full basement, 2 fireplace, updated kitchen and a driveway. Finally a driveway!

We are trying not to get to excited yet because nothing is complete until we close, but it is hard not to. I know Teresa has already starting moving in her mind and I have already started to think how I can make the 3rd floor my Yankee room....any ideas?
P.S. Pool party tentatively scheduled for sometime in July. Check back for date and time. ;)

I call the third floor. Don't worry, I'll pay rent and keep a 2am curfew on the weekends!
But seriously, congratulations! Just keep me informed on the housewarming, I'll get you a nice toaster or something : )
2am on weekends? Remember, I work 2nd shift during the week. Bars are open until 4am.....No curfews needed!
Rent will be 1/3 the mortgage due on the 1st of each month.
Congrats Dennis and Teresa! The place looks terrific. We've gotta get together soon and talk about the "joys" of looking for a house.

p.s. As for the 3rd floor, get all your yankees stuff in there any which way the second you start moving in so that you've "claimed it", then you have the all the time in the world to set it up just right.

Congrats! And did you know that you will be living in an area that is well protected? Kenmore, being 1 square mile, is covered by 25 cops fully funded by all of the traffic tickets they issue to non-Kenmorons!
