Owen's Baptism

Yesterday we celebrated Owen's Baptism at St. Paul's Church in Kenmore, NY. Our families from the 'Heads made the journey to Buffalo to be part of the celebration.

The Baptism gown Owen is wearing has been in the Sullivan Family for over 200 years and has been worn by every member of the family during their Baptism. We are unsure if the gown came over to America from Ireland, but do know that Grandpa Sullivan's father had worn it when he was Baptized.

Owen is being Baptized by Deacon Parker.

God-Parents, Sam and Jenn with Deacon Parker.

After a wonderful Baptism service, everyone joined us at our house for a lot of good food and company. Mama Hall was generous enough to come up a couple of days early to help prepare the feast and babysit for a night. Thanks again for all the help Mama Hall, we could not have done it without you.

Enough food to feed an army...Mmmmmmm, leftovers!

Delicious cake.

The girls enjoyed a dip in the pool.

Glad the rain held off in order to be outdoors.

Owen was very happy to have everyone celebrate his Baptism.

Thank you everyone that came to Owen's Baptism. We really appreciate those that made the trip from the 'Heads to be part of this special day. We thank all of you for your love and support.

Owen's first trip to Horseheads

Last weekend we ventured to Horseheads for a little trip. It was a busy weekend (as usual) but lots of fun. It is certainly different traveling home with a baby.
He got to see all of his cousins. They were very excited to hold him.Aunt Danielle was very excited to hold him too. She was also very enthusiastic about changing his diaper. Hey Dani, anytime you want to change diapers you come right up to Buffalo!
We also had cousin Alex's 1st birthday party to attend. It was a beautiful day and a great party. Alex loved his birthday cake. What a big boy! After cake everyone burned off some sugar on the trampoline. Dennis was bouncing the kids around like jumping beans. Dennis and Jenn also showed us that they can still flip after all this time. I was certainly impressed.
It was a great weekend with family. I think Owen was pooped out after all the excitement. He better get used to it being in this family!

Holy Roller!

Owen started to roll over last week. First we thought it was just a fluke, but he has done it every day since. He's a moving little man!

To catch the roll we had the camera pointed at him at all times of course. In the process we got a clip of him making a funny face.
