Rub a dub dub

The bathroom is now complete! We have not showered upstairs since we moved into the house and now we can. Dennis just tried it out and gave it the stamp of approval. Here's some pics:We are very happy with how it turned out. We only hit a few minor snafus, but overall it went pretty smoothly considering the shape it was in. There's much more room in there now without the huge oversized vanity. We were able to save the tub, but replaced the surround and the fixtures. Best of all, they don't leak. It will be nice not to have to trudge downstairs at 5:45 am now! I will also enjoy soaking in a nice bath...Hard to believe that this was all ripped out a week ago huh? There's been several requests for pictures of the nursery. We haven't posted any because the bathroom project put a temporary hold on progress in the baby's room. As you can see here, it became the trash holding center. Dennis picked up the baby furniture today and will be assembling it this weekend. We should have some pictures soon.

Spring Break 2009

Last week, Teresa and I, went on Spring Break. This would be the last vacation we will take as two. We traveled to Treasure Island, FL, which is just outside of Tampa on the Gulf of Mexico. My dad's brother and his family live here and keep an open invitation to come visit when ever we can make the time to do so. We had a good time, even though the weather was not very cooperative. The first two days we were there, it was very windy, so we could not enjoy time at the beach or boating, but we made the best of it by venturing around doing tourist like things. The third day it rained and we met my old Dunlop Tire Quality Manager in Lakeland for lunch.
We had a good time on your last spring break. Thank you to the Florida Hall's for your hospitality. We hope to see you soon....but in Buffalo!

Here me and my uncle talk shop about the manufacturing of drug infusion pumps.

One of the windy days, we went in to St. Petersburg and visited The Pier. As you can see in the background, the water was very choppy and rough.
View from the top of The Pier.
We did attempt sitting on the beach one day when it was windy, but as you can see, no one is on the beach. We only last about 15 minutes.
This was a great sunset on our last night of Spring Break 2009. And yes, we live in Buffalo and are wearing jackets in Florida. The nights were pretty cool, even for those used to negative temperatures.
