The big ultrasound

We had our big ultrasound yesterday morning. Dennis was able to go into work late so he could attend, which was fun for him. Here's some mug shots:Tator Tot is not a morning baby. He/she was being shy and taking a nice little nap. The US tech tried to get a good picture of the face, and this was the best she could get. I think Tator may have big eyes like mama. Here's the profile shot. The baby has a good looking brain and spine-important parts to consider coming from a PT like myself. Dennis thinks the baby has a big belly.

The rest of the appointment went well. All the ultrasound measurements were right on, so the due date is still June 28th. Everything structurally looked fine, and overall baby Tator is looking good. Heartbeat was 150 bpm this time (had to make sure I include that for those of you guessing the sex.)
We held strong and did not find out what the sex is. Baby had its legs crossed the entire time anyway, so I don't know if we would've been able to find out if we wanted to. Next appointment in March!

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day to everyone. We had a very nice day yesterday. I must say, it's nice to have it fall on a Saturday this year. I slept in yesterday (which was wonderful!) and awoke to this:mmm...Watson's sponge candy and a cute card. We don't do big gifts for Valentine's Day usually, but we do try to satisfy each other's sweet tooth a little bit. Dennis got his favorite chocolate covered cherries from me.
What was even better was that he cleaned the whole kitchen without even being asked.Later that evening we got dressed up and went out to dinner at Shadow Lounge. We figured that this may be last Valentine's Day that we can go out for awhile, we'd better enjoy it. We both got steak for dinner and had creme brulee cheesecake for dessert. Everything was delicious. We were both pretty ready to get home and put our sweats on after eating so much food, so we curled up on the couch and watched a movie. It was a very nice day for sure.

Rock a Bye Baby

Here's our first baby purchase yay! It's a super comfy glider and ottoman. We also got the nursery cleaned out. Once the bedding comes in, we can start painting and getting things going. Very exciting!

A visit to Horseheads

Last weekend we went to Horseheads for a visit. It was great to see everyone while we were home. We went there for two reasons. Dennis's great uncle Franklin unfortunately passed away last weekend and his funeral was Saturday. It was a very nice service for him. Also, Patty was in town and we still had a serious Christmas gift exchange to do. I forgot my camera for the gifts themselves, but needless to say it was quite the celebration.
On Saturday, Natalie and Kendall decided to give us a fashion show using outfits that they designed. They pretended that it was America's Next Top Model.
Natalie dressed up in Disney garb with a very nice pose here
The "gown segment"
Kendall also wowed us with her ballerina pose here
Then they decided to be horseback-riding robots.
I think these girls could give Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum a run for their money. It was a great time.
That night we had a yummy Pudgies dinner and played with Dennis's mom's new toy the "Cricut." I had not heard of this machine, but it was very cool. the machine will cut out all these designs, letters, and shapes in any size you want. This is way cool for scrapbooking.
Dennis was very into it. He would barely let any of us play with it.
It was great to see everyone as usual!

What a tease!

After last night's rant about winter not ending, this is what Buffalo is seeing today:
Boo Yeah! That is sunshine! Temps are near 40 degrees and the snow is starting to melt. But I think we better not put the ski jackets away just yet. The 7-Day Forecast is calling for snow showers and temperatures in the teens for the middle of the week. But for now, we will enjoy the sunshine leading up to our Superbowl party. Maybe Punxsutawney Phil will have good news tomorrow.

Here is today's pregnancy watch picture. We have been been taking a picture of Teresa just about once a week to see the progress she is making. She is just about half way until the big day!
