Homeowners to be!

As most of you know, we have been starting to house hunt. We thought we had found the perfect house a few weeks ago, but after the home inspection we were not feeling as warm and fuzzy about the house. Since then we have found a new house. The house is located in the village of Kenmore, NY. Kenmore is a northern suburb of Buffalo and is similar to the 'Heads. Our offer has been accepted and a successful home inspection has been preformed. All that is left...getting money from the bank. We are looking to close on the house in early June, therefore we should be all moved in by mid-July. The house is in move-in condition, however, we will be do some painting and minor touching up. So now that we are buying a house in WNY, it is safe to say we are staying in Buffalo for a while.

The house is a Colonial style home with 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, deck, above ground pool, one car detached garage, a 3rd floor which has been redone, full basement, 2 fireplace, updated kitchen and a driveway. Finally a driveway!

Below are some of the pictures that we have taken so far:

We are trying not to get to excited yet because nothing is complete until we close, but it is hard not to. I know Teresa has already starting moving in her mind and I have already started to think how I can make the 3rd floor my Yankee room....any ideas?

P.S. Pool party tentatively scheduled for sometime in July. Check back for date and time. ;)

Easter Weekend

This past weekend we travelled back to the 'Heads to celebrate Easter with our families and some birthday's. Not only was it Easter weekend, but Graice had her first birthday party on Saturday, Natalie and Teresa's dad celebrated their birthday's on Sunday as well.

Gracie's 1st birthday party was a hit, a grand slam actually (A-Rod hit a game winning grand slam for the Yankees just as the candles were blown out, wonder what Gracie wished for) ..lots of good food and a chance to spend time with everyone in the family at once....which is hard to do these days with everyone going in so many different directions.
(more pictures of Gracie's birthday party can be found at www.mybabynichols.com)

After the birthday party we met up with Natalie and Kendall while they colored Easter Eggs for the Easter Bunny to hide. Kendall insisted that the eggs be stirred while sitting in the glass of dye and Natalie was very careful about not allowing any unwanted coloring to take place when transferring the eggs from the dye with the spoon.

Mr. Nolan is growing like a weed as well. He is walking a little bit on his own which makes it hard to keep track of him.
After a busy and short weekend we returned to Buffalo to winter like temperatures again. Maybe someday spring will get here. Hope everyone had a nice Easter.
